Here's the
deal on exams and quizzes and PRS ......
You earn the points, I assign the grades. I promise to keep to this plan as long as you promise not to be an exception to this rule. Many wonder why I don't entertain innovative proposals at the end of the semester with regard to grades. The simple answer is that I treat everyone equally.
The course syllabus indicates that students can accumulate 500 points over the course of the semester:
First exam 100 Points
Second exam 100 Points
Final exam 150 Points
OWL Points 150 Points (Maximum)
Earn Extra Credit!! As stated on the course syllabus, extra credit points are awarded through PRS activity over the semester. You have been given the opportunity to add a maximum of 75% of the semester's PRS points to your course point total. Simply add your PRS total (up to the maximum) to those points earned in the above list to get your course point total.
For example, let's suppose that your points in the three exams total 233 points, and that you've earned 145 OWL points. Let's also suppose that you've accumulated 15 PRS points over the semester. In this case your course total is 393 points.
To determine your final grade, take your total points and divide by 500. Then check the table below to see where you fall. For example, if you've earned 393 total course points, then your percentage points is 393/500 = 78.6%. According to the table below, your course grade would be C+.
