What is FOMGT 301?

This course is sometimes called the finance class here at UMass as it's required of all Isenberg majors.  For some of you it will end up being your one and only finance class in college.  For others it'll be the first of a series of finance courses you'll take.

FOMGT 301 is a basic course that assumes only that students can work with algebra and a few statistical concepts.  This class asks students to demonstrate a level of quantitative literacy but also asks students to think in ways consistent with the rational economic being.  And...you'll learn some things in this course that will stay with you for a long time.
