Make sure to do all practice problems for the exam. Also, look at my notes for Finance 301 including homework problems and solutions. During the first couple of weeks, TAs will go over excel tutorials during recitations. Please, be familiar with Excel keyboard shortcuts. Group assignments will be made and uploaded on the web. Make sure to get to know your team mates as soon as possible. Please, review the spelling of your name and e-mail and get back to me as soon as possible if there are changes/corrections. If there are problems in the group assignments, please, let me know. I uploaded my notes for Finance 301. Make sure you are familiar with the class notes. Also, read exams and problem sets to see which types of questions are asked and how they are presented. Review your notes on time values. Know how to calculate discounted cash flows. We will start off with this material in the first week of classes. Review the book and notes before the class, so you are prepared. Be ready to participate in class discussions and problem solving sessions. We do not have homework, but I expect you to spend a considerable amount of time at home going over problems and materials discussed in the class, projects and the book. Good luck with the class. |
