Course Description

Businesses today are experiencing rapid changes due to globalization, technological innovations, social and political pressures as well as customers’ expectations.  Information technology (IT) is no longer a solution to isolated problems but rather it is an integral part of the business process and a resource that aids in achieving competitive advantage.  Consequently, it is essential that even managers not responsible for the information function in an organization have some knowledge of IT.

This course provides an understanding of information technology fundamentals such as electronic commerce, network computing, enterprise resource planning, information security and other relevant topics.  In parallel the course provides managerial skills to evaluate business needs and IT solutions.
